I first ordered this Red Velvet cake mix at the Vermont Country Store where I paid $8.99 per box! Everybody in my family and my co-workers just love this cake and most strangers think it is "homemade". I am a from Boston so most folks here don't have a clue about red velvet cake. I married a southerner from North Carolina and he just loves the cake; especially when I add coconut and pecans to the frosting mix and make a four-layer red velvet cake!! It is so tall that my cake cover won't fit on top of the cake! Debbie L., Boston, Massachusetts

This is the best and easy cake I've ever made. My last party everyone raved about the cake and wanted my recipe. If they knew it came from a box I think they would have been shocked.

this is the best cake mix I have ever used. The red velvet is the best of all of the cake mix varieties. This cake mix is better than my scratch recipe.

I cannot tell you enough times how good this cake is. I used to buy them at Wal-Mart, ( co-workers would buy them for me so I wouldn't run out so I could make them for work!) I have not been able to find them in the Austin area for 2 years now, so I have had to resort to purchasing them on line. I used to pay $3.99, now I see I will have to give more to enjoy them again. Gladly!!!
